In 2009 Rigging Seminars plans to hold classes in the September-October-November period in Las Vegas, Chicago and Seattle. The exact schedule is not yet available. Notice of firm dates will be posted on this website as soon as possible, probably in July or August.

This year our main thrust will be Intensive 4-Day Arena style rigging classes. We may hold one combined 4-day Arena and Stage Rigging Class.

There's more to rigging than wire, rope and shackles! For rigging to be safe, riggers must understand not only the equipment, but also the engineering principles.

Rigging accidents are always life-threatening and can be catastrophic, resulting in legal action against the riggers, the venue, the manager, manufacturer, installer, and operator of rigging equipment, regardless of the cause.

Relying on intuition when making rigging decisions is foolish and risky. To save lives, to reduce liability, and to comply with OSHA regulations, it is crucial and legally required for everyone involved in rigging to be trained, knowledgeable, and competent. Safe rigging is not guesswork.
